IG-541 INERGEN Systems - Inert Gases
IG-541 INERGEN is an environmentally friendly extinguishing agent, consisting of gases which are already present naturally in the earth's atmosphere. IG-541 NERGEN is an inert gas, which means that it takes no part in the combustion process. IG-541 INERGEN contains no liquid, is non-toxic and non-flammable.
IG-541 Inergen is a composite gas (52% Nitrogen, 40% Argon, 8% CO2) which is mixed and stored at a pressure of 300 bar. It is electrically non-conductive, leaves no residue and, at the correct design concentration, is suitable for the protection of occupied areas.
IG-541 is a very effective fire extinguishing agent that can be used to protect a wide range of applications. It is suitable for use on class A (solid combustibles) and class B (flammable liquids) fires, including risks with live electrical equipment. IG-541 extinguishing method is based on oxygen depletion.
